New Sexy and eXotic Line of Spirits Offering Free Tastings As Grammy Nominated Singer-Songwriter Takes to the Legendary NYC Stage This Friday, January 29th
January 2016 (New York, NY) — This Friday, January 29th at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in the heart of New York City, the Award-Winning, Sensual, and eXotic new line of premium spirits “SX Liquors” – which launched in 2014 delivering Latin liquors infused with exotic ingredients – will be getting the party started with the soulful, R&B/Hip-Hop tinged hits of Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Elle Varner! With exciting shots and cocktails of SXchachacha honey tequila all night long, the evening kicks off at 7:30PM at 237 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036!
Having wrapped a successful year of growth and expansion into new territories alongside their partnership with Grammy Nominated R&B singer, songwriter and producer Trey Songz in 2015, SX Liquors is ready for even more growth and expansion in 2016. With Songz having made his way to several NYC and Long Island hot-spots for exclusive appearances, tastings, and bottle signings promoting the brand earlier this past Summer, there seems to be a whole lot in store for the brand delivering “the ultimate taste experience for women”.
The SX mission is to make the world a little sexier and debuted with a bold promise: Your Drink. Sexier! To accomplish this, the company delivers Latin liquors infused with sensual and exotic ingredients to deliver the ultimate taste experience. The “S” in SX’s name stands for Sensual and the “X” comes from eXotic, and the drinks and contoured bottles from which they pour are both. SX spirits are named after passionate dances (Samba, Calypso and Cha-Cha-Cha), and the company strives to capture Latin style and soul. SX’s original line of premium spirits included SXchachacha (Featured in Songz video for “Slow Motion”), 100% blue agave reposado tequila with a hint of honey and the exotic bite of Mexican lemons. The company also debuted with a pair of rums: SXcalypso, aged rum spiced with mint and Caribbean lemons and SXsamba, cachaca-style rum with sweet limes and smooth vanilla. SX has continued to grow and expand winning a gold medal for best tequila after being selected from among 1,106 products from 61 countries at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It’s also been featured at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, the Miami Wine and Spirits Expo, The Nightclub & Bar Show in Las Vegas, and numerous other events.
One of the most promising R&B artists to emerge during the early 2010s, singer and songwriter Elle Varner grew up in a musical family — one that spent much of its time together in recording studios. Both of Varner’s parents were music industry veterans. Mikelyn Roderick, her mother, was a backup vocalist for Barry White and has written and recorded with Tevin Campbell and Rahsaan Patterson; she also released an album on the Dome label in 2007. Varner’s father, Jimmy Varner, was a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist; he has collaborated with Gerald Alston, Kool & the Gang, and Will Downing. As a child, Elle Varner accompanied her parents to sessions, learned the ins and outs of recording, and would be asked for feedback on her parents’ material. Signed to the J label — home to inspirations and contemporaries like Monica, Alicia Keys, Marsha Ambrosius, and Jazmine Sullivan — Varner, while in her early twenties, debuted in August 2011 with “Only Wanna Give It to You,” featuring J. Cole. The single peaked at number 20 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Due to label restructuring, the J label was eliminated; Varner shifted to the RCA roster before year’s end. The lyrically and sonically distinctive “Refill” hit the chart in March 2012 and, within a few weeks, had nearly topped the debut. A free mixtape, Conversational Lush (its title taken from “Refill”), was issued prior to Varner’s proper debut album, August 2012’s Perfectly Imperfect.
With SX kicking off Elle Varner’s performance by offering SX tastings, it’s the perfect way to get this SeXy evening started beginning at 7:30PM this Friday, January 29th at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill- 237 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036!
