An Afternoon of Music, Beer, Oysters, and Charity Will Benefit
“Save The Great South Bay”, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Dedicated to the Revitalization of the 45-Mile Long Body of Water Between Long Island’s South Shore and Fire Island
June, 2017 (Fire Island, NY) — On Saturday, July 29th at 2:30PM Flynn’s of Ocean Bay Park–one of Fire Island’s oldest and most popular mainstays–will host “Toast the Great South Bay”, an afternoon of charity to bring awareness to the revitalization of a cleaner, healthier bay for all Long Islanders who live along its shores or come to see its beauty as a tourist and recreational destination.
The day’s events will include 2 hours of Blue Point Brewery beer sampling and the release of “Drink the Bay Clean Lager” at 4PM, $2 Great South Bay Oysters on the Half Shell, and LIVE MUSIC from The Zoo!
A Fire Island staple now in its 80th year, Flynn’s in Ocean Bay Park encapsulates the definitive Summer experience combining restaurant/bar/marina into one of the biggest parties on the Great South Bay with waterfront dining, live music, and more!
And with the Moon Chaser Boat Cruise out of Captree Boat Basin, they offer a fully equipped cash bar and soul-soothing music for your cruising pleasure on the way across the bay. Don’t spend just another night out, take an enjoyable cruise to Flynn’s instead! Kick back and enjoy the summer breeze and magnificent sunsets on your way to this famous Fire Island landmark.
Save the Great South Bay is made up of South Shore LI residents, past and present, baymen, fishermen, surfers, sailors, and marine biologists from a dozen organizations now studying the bay.
The organization advocates a systematic, scientifically driven approach to the bay’s management. Science, not politics. A healthy bay means a healthy economy for The South Shore and it means preserving a public good for future generations. STGSB works today so that future generations will fish, clam, swim and boat on the waters as so many generations have before.
Now, as Flynn’s gets ready for “Toast the Great South Bay” it’s set to be a fantastic day of live music, beer, and oysters in support of a great organization and its cause that benefits so many Long Islanders, Saturday, July 29th at 1 Cayuga St, Ocean Bay Park, NY 11770!
